Prayers of a Bhopal victim

Tears have dried in my eyes
And so with lakhs of us guys
We all became victims of carelessness
And of arrogant attitude and casualness

It has taken my judiciary 26 years
To say who are the guilty players
But offered them olives for their deeds
Just two years will do for their misdeeds

Whilst millions of us anguish
For relief that comes so rarish
Our worth is lower than the seals of the world
So seem to think our Western lords!

My Government, I know not, for whom it works
For the culprits, greedy corporations or the west
They accepted pittance with glee
And even that is only trickling, you see

They in the Government are now waking up
After our 26 agonising years and tears
We must do something with the Law, they assert
And relook at their flaws after ages of neglect

My generation lives on loaves and hopes
And even our water is poisonous
What’s wrong, with it my friends, my peers ask
Haven’t you become immune so they speak

My Government let the culprit vanish
And my judiciary ruled it was just an accident
It took years and years to move the courts
As our turmoil continues with force

All we pray to Almighty God
Give us a leader who has speed and compassion
Who will decipher the right from the wrong
And let us live the rest of our lives with peace!

All that lies in a truth!

Children lie 20% when they are two years old, 50% when they are three years old and 70% when they are 4 years old (Research Findings from a study of 1200 children by the Institute of Child Study at Toronto university)

"When they grow old and enter politics
They all have one thing in common
Lie and lie, until lie becomes a truth
And the gullible masses adore in them

What’s wrong in lying says my friend
Who’s in politics and is also a journo
The trick lies in telling it convincingly
And if you are caught deny everything you said

We are the best Cricket Team in the world
So said a well-known spokesperson
And when we lost black and blue
Oh, it happens, cricket is a game of chances!

If you have a contest to choose a lie king
You don’t have to search far and wide
They are there everywhere in all hues
May be, they emulate the four year olds!"

The “Yearnings”!

Thou shalt kneel before me
For I am from the upper upper class
I only travel by my private jets
Or sail in my yachts and talk only in billions
My villas are all over the world
And I only move with movers and Shakers!

Know, ye, all men and women
I belong to the upper class
I live only in poshest surroundings
And my wife only buys Guccis and the like
My evenings are invariably spent
With Blue Label, Caviour and the Like

I wish I am in the upper class
For I have long been in the upper middle class
I prefer my holidays in Hawaii & Alps
I yearn for a collection of gold, platinum and diamonds
And crave to move ahead
With Mercs, villas and the rest

The woes of middle class have hit me
I find it an uphill task to meet both ends
All I want is a decent home
Less taxes, more savings and the like
My children should have the best
And I leave it to God to give me the rest!

I curse myself I am born poor
I can’t even pay for my school
All I want is a few loaves of bread
And a roof that I can call it my own
I pray to all those above me
Give us a decent life free of hunger

Spare just the average spend of an evening
For year-long welfare of a poor and needy child

A poem a day, a thought every minute, an idea every second.... that's the essence a meaningful day. I am starting with a poem on the memorable day of the 35th foundation day of Imageads.

Little Drops of Water
And little grains of sands
Collected in a hillock
And down they ran

Little drops became little rivulets
On their way, they added more sands
Before long, the little rivulets
Became a little river of joy

As it flew down the valley
It served people well
And more little rivulets joined
And the river grew bigger and bigger

But, alas, the river lost its way
And shrunk into a few semi-dry streams
The streams ran into hurdles
And thus they stayed still

Now the rains have come
And the hurdles are being washed away
Its journey has again begun
Only to join the mighty ocean

Imageads was born on 13th May.

With Love
